    Corus Round 7 Update.....

    Ratings updated after corus rd 7....

    An OK day for the indians today........

    • Anand took the draw with Caruana as is the norm for him in this tournament
    • Negi looked like winning against Hari, but couldn't get the full point home
    • Abhijeet Gupta won his game against the lowest rated Plukkel and is in joint second position with 5/7
    • Soumya had some advantage, but ended the day with a draw

    I think Gupta has a decent chance to win this if he can beat Robson, both are otherwise playing the same opposition. Otherwise all the indians are either just playing to their strength or losing some points. Not a great tournament in general. Such oopurtunities are rare and one has to cash on them. i would have loved had hari played little less in team championship. He could have had serious chances of getting into Corus A next year.
